About the ATA

The ATA Self Regulatory Organization (SRO) initially met in April 2006 to devise a course to bring all members of our association and the teleservices channel together to better serve the consumer and promote the value of telemarketing.

Since we’ve learned that ignoring a consumer issue creates a harsher recourse by the government, our goal is to promote a standard that seeks the proverbial “middle ground.”

Today, the ATA SRO is comprised of members of the Fortune 500 as well as the service provider sector, who are working together to preserve the viability of the teleservices channel. The SRO vets practical standards to offer a positive channel experience for consumers. This vetting process lets us tackle tough issues, gain better insight into the issues that the teleservices industry faces, and develop possible solutions that enable businesses and consumers to live cohesively.

To accomplish our goal, the ATA SRO now offers a comprehensive audit process for accreditation, a self-assessment tool, and a formal program to certify auditors.
